The Agfa Isolette was a series of folding cameras made by Agfa in Munich until about 1960. This first model has a few features not included on later models, including this black plastic top cover.

It also has masks inside the camera to allow the user to choose either 6 x 6 or 6 x 4.5 cm format. There is a small selector to the right of the viewfinder that blocks part of the view for when the smaller format is chosen. I love cameras that have this kind of versatility, especially with film costs increasing.

The colorful decal inside the rear door is typical of this period, around the start of WWII.

This Agfa Isolette camera was available with a variety of shutters and lenses. This one has an Apotar lens that can make wonderfully sharp photos.
