This Ihagee Ultrix Simplex has a Zenith shutter and Ihagee Triplex Anastigmat lens. It came as an untested camera from eBay, and it was a mess.

One of the aperture blades was out of place, and all of them were bent.

The end of the winding knob that engages with the spool looked like a rough old repair had failed, and it wasn’t turning the spool, so I soldered a new piece in.

I finally got it all clean and back together and working again. This camera has a neat Ihagee round medallion inside that one might not even notice.

I was able to get nice sharp images from this. There were some light leaks, which was not a surprise- the closure for the rear door looks like it took some battering at some point in the past. It’s fun to take photos with a camera very nearly 100 years old. I took these in Medway, Massachusetts.
