“Eho” cameras were a product of the firm of Emil Hofert in Dresden. This company started producing box cameras around 1929 and over the next ten years a variety of models were produced. This is one of the later ones, the 1937 version of the Eho Box 180. It’s a well-used camera, with wear around the film advance knob. I like to see cameras that were well-used and know that many rolls of film have passed through them. Cameras that show little or no use make me suspicious.

The photos out of this camera are what I would call typical box camera photos. I like this look.
