This is a typical 1930s basic 6×9 folding camera made by Agfa in Munich. This happens to be the first folding camera like this I ever owned. This was one of a series of Billy Record cameras produced from 1933 to 1949. It has an Jgestar lens with a maximum aperture of f/8.8. There are two focus zones with distances given in feet and meters, and a fairly simple shutter with speeds up to 1/100.

This model of Agfa Billy Record with black and chrome Art Deco accents on the top and bottom covers dates from around 1938.

As is typical for these cameras, it folds down to a size small enough to fit in a coat pocket.

Despite the limited options, this camera is very capable of making attractive photographs.

This beautiful stone chamber stood in Massachusetts for a very long time. It was unfortunately destroyed not long after I took these photos. Photographs create a record of a world that changes every day.
