Of all my cameras, I think this Zeiss Ikon Super Ikonta 532/16 may take the very best photos from a technical perspective. The sharpness of the 1:2.8 8 cm Tessar lens is powerful. The Compur Rapid shutter was one of the most advanced of its type.

This is a deluxe 1930s experience. The leatherette shows the so-called “Zeiss bumps” but remains intact. The Super Ikonta 532/16 is the 6×6 cm format version of this line of cameras.

I got this camera from an eBay seller located in Japan. The current situation with the new tariffs has made buying cameras from Japan more expensive for me, unfortunately. This camera is surprisingly heavy but the great results make it worth it to drag it around.

I took the below photos in Salem, Massachusetts. The North Shore of Massachusetts has a lot of charming places to take photos.
