This attractive camera is made of Bakelite, marketed by Agfa as “Trolitan.” The introduction of this innovative Art Deco camera was timed to coincide with the 1936 Olympic Games.

This Agfa Trolix has two aperture settings and a built-in yellow filter. It remained in production into the war years. The Art Deco styling is very appealing on this 1930s Bakelite camera but it must be used with care as the plastic is not likely to withstand being dropped.
I mostly shoot black and white but sometimes it is fun to capture New England fall colors on film.
