This is a camera that I love to use. A sturdy metal box with a hinged back, fairly bright viewfinders. It has two aperture settings as well as a built-in yellow filter.

I got this one in 2016. At the time it had a faded front plate, rust, and broken viewfinders. Over the years I replaced one part after another with pieces I took from broken cameras I got. I have some near factory mint examples of the Agfa Box 45, but this is one I use.

I have a portrait lens for making close-up photos with this camera. This is probably a postwar item made for use with the Box 50 and Synchro Box. The postwar Box 50 model is almost identical to this camera, with some differences on the front plate including a tiny “Made in Germany” under the Agfa logo.

I took these photos using Fomapan 400. I think this is a great film for using in cameras like this on a cloudy day.
