The Agfa Box 44 was a huge success when it was released in Germany in 1932. Lots of these cameras were sold and it ushered in a period in which box cameras were very popular in Germany. There are lots of these fun cameras still out there, I have a few examples that I will post over time. I found this one on eBay in 2016. Inside was a roll of exposed film.

The photos were snapshots from someone’s holiday in Venice, perhaps in the 1960s. Cameras like this remained in use for a long time. I can only wonder about why the photographer shot these photos only to never develop or see them.
