This is one of my favorite cameras. It’s similar to the more common Box Tengor (I) 54/2, but in a smaller, “half frame” size- it makes 16 4.5 x 6 cm negatives per roll of 120 film. This example was made for export, with focus zones in feet instead of meters. It’s marked “Made in Germany” on the front, too. This model was introduced in 1932 but the sliding cover for the double film windows on the back is a 1937 feature.

This Box Tengor 54 camera has two aperture settings and two focus zones, plus a bulb setting for the shutter.

I have put a lot of rolls through this one. Photos taken with the close focus setting show nice sharpness. The other setting yields softer images on this example.
